History
Restigouche County is located in northern New Brunswick. Gloucester County is what it was was created from in 1837. The parishes of Addington and Eldon were erected in 1826 as parts of Gloucester County. In 1839 Durham was set off from Eldon. Colborne and Dalhousie were sepaarted from Addington. Balmoral was created from part of Dalhousie in 1876. Grimmer was created in 1916 and Saint-Quentin in 1920.
