CHEVENING (St. Botolph), a parish, in the union of Seven-Oaks, hundred of Codsheath, lathe of
Sutton-at-Hone, W division of Kent, 3½ miles NW from Seven-Oaks. [1]
Chevening St Botolph is an Ancient Parish in the Diocese of Rochester.

CHEVENING is within the ECCLESIASTICAL JURISDICTION of the diocese of Rochester, and being a peculiar of the archbishop, it is as such in the deanry of Shoreham.[2]

Chevening House is not an official residence, but has been traditionally used by the Foreign Secretary. [3]

The former Non-Conformist Chapel Chipstead Chapel High Street Chevening dates from the 17th century. [4]
