CRAY, NORTH (St. James), a parish, in the union of Bromley, hundred of Ruxley, lathe of Sutton-at-Hone, W division of Kent, 1 mile N by E from Foots Cray. [1]
North Cray is, ecclesiastically, in the diocese of Canterbury, in the archdeaconry of Canterbury and in the deanery of Dartford. The church is named for St. James with registers commencing 1538. North Cray is a parish in Bromley district, Kent; on the rivulet Cray, 1 mile north-north-east of North Cray, and 3-1/4 miles north-by-east of St. Mary Cray rail station. Post town, North Cray, under London, S.E..[2]
North Cray St James is an Ancient Parish which united with the ancient parish of Ruxley in 1557.
