DITTON (St. Peter), a parish, in the union of Malling, hundred of Larkfield, lathe of Aylesford, W division of Kent, 3½ miles NW by W from Maidstone.[1]
"Ditton is, ecclesiastically, in the diocese of Canterbury, in the archdeaconry of Canterbury and in the deanery of North Malling. Ditton is in the Lathe of Aylesford, Larkfield Hundred. The church is named for St. Peter ad Vincula with original registers commencing 1663."[2]
