HORTON, a chapelry, in the parish and union of Bradford, wapentake of Morley, W. riding of York, 2 miles (S. W. by W.) from Bradford; containing 17,615 inhabitants. The township includes the villages of Great and Little Horton, with those of Lidget-Green and Scholis-Moor. [1]

HORTON, a township, in the parish of Gisburn, union of Clitheroe, W. division of the wapentake of Staincliffe and Ewcross, W. riding of York, 9½ miles (W. by S.) from Skipton; containing 156 inhabitants. [2]
