Collection Description[edit | edit source]The State Library of Florida shares the history of the state through published records of Florida, and state government publications, including 700,000 books, magazines, and newspapers, 2000 Florida maps, photos, and over 200,000 government documents.[2] Their 60,000 item Floridiana collection is one of the most comprehensive including books, periodicals, manuscripts, pamphlets, maps, newspapers, clippings, broadsides, memorabilia and photos about history, government, wildlife, business, agriculture, the arts, fiction, and education.[3] The Library is in the same building as the State Archives of Florida. Tips[edit | edit source]Parking: Ask for a parking token at the library circulation desk to keep from paying the $5 fee when exiting the next door parking garage. Guides[edit | edit source]
