Nether Silton was formed a chapelry of  Leake, Yorkshire  Ancient Parish in Yorkshire.

SILTON, NETHER, a chapelry, in the parish of Leake, union of Northallerton, wapentake of Birdforth, N. riding of York, 8 miles (N. by E.) from Thirsk. This chapelry, includes Gueldable. There is a place of worship for Wesleyans. [1]
