County Information

Description

Prairie County was created 25 November 1846[2] and was named for Grand Prairie, a subregion of the Arkansas Delta known for rice cultivation and aquaculture that runs through the county. Its county seats are Des Arc and DeValls Bluff.[3] It is located in the central area of the state.[4]
