Description[edit | edit source]
Cleveland County was created on 17 April 1873[2] and was named for President Grover Cleveland.[3] Its county seat is Rison.[4] It is located in the south-central area of the state.[5]

- 1834 - The third Quapaw Treaty ratified by the U.S. Senate was the beginning of the end of the Indians treaty lands in Arkansas.
