FamilySearch Wiki:WikiProject Utah Tasks County History
Return to Utah Wiki Project Main Page
Task Description[edit | edit source]
Add information or links to the History area (located under Quick Facts on each county page) for the 29 counties.
What to include in this brief history:
- Links to Internet sites with a history of the county. Please be selective, especially if the sites are redundant.
- Events that affected the record-keeping
- Events that affected migration
If you choose to do this in a timeline, please start each line with year-month-day then the event description.
No need to repeat information in the other sub-headings of Quick Facts (Parent County, Boundary Changes, Record Loss)
- UNLESS you are doing a timeline.
- Each of those sub-headings will become WikiProject Utah tasks.
Prototype:[edit | edit source]
No general prototype; varies from county to county. See Owyhee County, Idaho or Adams County, Idaho for examples.
Assignment Chart[edit | edit source]
We need team members to volunteer to check all 29 counties, adding items as appropriate. Please place four tildes (~~~~) in the "Volunteer" column next to the counties you choose for this assignment. This will automatically give your username and the date you signed up.
