You will find names of parents and child (if known) and the child's date of birth.

The record gives name, birth and death information, address or city of residence, and sometimes burial information.

Some later records show age of parents, number of children, address, and the doctor who attended the birth.

The Family History Library has midwives' records for some cities and towns. Such as ''Record of Births Kept by H. J. This book has been indexed in the ''Early Church Information File''.
