LANEAST (St. Galwell), a parish, in the union of Launceston, partly in the N. division of the hundred of East, and partly in the hundred of Lesnewth, E. division of Cornwall, 7 miles (W.) from Launceston.[1]
Laneast St Sidwell & St Gulval is an Ancient Parish in the county of Cornwall.
Other places in the parish include: Tregeare.
The parish church OS grid ref SX227840 is now dedicated to St Michael.
The Modern parish is part of the Altarnon with Bolventor, Laneast and St Clether United Benefice in the Diocese of Truro.
