Parish History
JUST, ST., in Roseland, a parish, in the union of Truro, W. division of the hundred of Powder and of the county of Cornwall. There are places of worship for Calvinists and Wesleyan Methodists, and for Bryanites.[1]
St Just is an Ancient Parish in the county of Cornwall. Other places in the parish include: St Mawes and Trethewell.
St Just is a 13th century church set in riverside gardens luxuriantly planted with semitropical shrubs and trees, many of which are species rare in England. The church perches on the edge of the tidal creek of the Percuil River just outside the main village. The path from the road to the Church is lined with granite blocks carved with quotations and verses taken from the Bible.
