Chapelry History[edit | edit source]

Haigh and Aspull (St David) was created a chapelry in 1833, lying within the boundaries of Wigan All Saints, and union of Wigan, hundred of West Derby, S. division of the county of Lancaster, 2¾ miles north by east from Wigan. The church, dedicated to St. David, was erected in 1833. Other places in the parish include: Aspull.[1]
