Population Schedules - Online Records[edit | edit source]
Newfoundland and Labrador officially joined Canada on 31 March 1949. From 1907 to 1949, it was the Dominion of Newfoundland and relatively autonomous from British rule. Newfoundland and Labrador was enumerated on the 1871 Canada census as a part of Quebec. In the 1911 Canada census, it was a part of the Northwest Territories enumeration.
