- This database contains the names of over 41,000 seamen taken from the crew lists of more than 430 vessels either registered in St. John's, Newfoundland or containing Newfoundland and Labrador crews. The names of seamen are added to this database as new crew lists are found. These crew lists, so far numbering more than 1900 and held at the Maritime History Archive, cover the years 1863 to 1942.
