The Harold B. Lee Library, also known as the BYU Library, is one of the top academic libraries in the United States. It includes print, manuscript, microfilm, and electronic collections covering the breadth of academic studies, including significant materials related to family and local history. The library includes the L. Tom Perry Special Collections which archives many original and rare materials. The BYU Library is also home to the BYU Family History Library, a premier family history center with access to FamilySearch digital images and microfilms, other family history and academic databases, and a large book collection. BYU Library is a partner with FamilySearch for scanning books, available on FamilySearch Books. The library also offers personal assistance with family history and equipment for scanning and preserving photos and other memories.
