The Lake Trail or Lake Shore Path went southwest from Buffalo, New York along the southern shore of Lake Erie to Cleveland, Ohio, and then west to Sandusky County, Ohio where it became part of the Great Trail or Great Path.[1]
The counties along the Lake Shore Path route (east to west) were as follows:[1]
