This article describes the services and resources available at a FamilySearch Center, a branch facility of the FamilySearch Library.

Collection Description[edit | edit source]

The Logan Library Virginia Hanson Special Collections has a variety of historical materials related to Logan and Cache County, Utah. In 2006 the Everton Genealogy Collection was donated to the library. It was opened to the public for two years but was then closed in April 2008. The staff of the library have since been working to add a portion of these books to the Virginia Hanson Special Collections. In addition to books, there is an expanding selection of archival and digital materials relating first to the City of Logan, second to Cache Valley, and third to the Bridgerland Region.

Collection Policy

FamilySearch Center[edit | edit source]

FamilySearch Centers are branches of the Family History Library in Salt Lake.
As a center, patrons of the Logan Library have the opportunity to place an order for many of the millions of rolls of microfilm in Salt Lake to be used in the Virginia Hanson Special Colelctions.

Tips[edit | edit source]

Much of the collection is open for browsing during library open hours, but a portion of the collection is closed stacks. Ask a reference librarian for access to these materials.
Come anytime but call or email in advance to confirm hours for specialized reference service.
