Instructions
1. Open the Task List and sign your name in cell A2 of a province tab (each tab is a different province or jurisdiction).
2. Open the Catalog for Italy and click "Places within Italy."
3. Choose the name in the catalog that matches the name of your tab on the task list.
- We will be skipping those with (Regione) in the name for Italy.

- NOTE: You can scroll through tabs on Google Sheets. Next to the first tab, there are four lines stacked vertically. If you click that, you can see a complete list of all tabs on the Google Sheet. Additionally, next to the last tab, there are right and left arrows that you can click to scroll through.

4. We will be gathering Census, Civil Registration, and Church Records (including indexes) for the provinces and their municipalities and parishes within. Begin by clicking the triangles next to the Census, Civil Registration, and Church Records. If there aren't any for that heading, they don't exist at that jurisdictional level.
5. Then click "Add" under the Print List column.
6. After you have added to the print list for the province, we will click "Places within Italy, PROVINCE" and copy the list of lower jurisdictions and paste it under your name in the task list
7. Now repeat the process from steps 4 and 5 on the lower jurisdictions/municipalities
8. Once you are done with a municipality, get back to the larger list of places within your province by clicking "Part of Italy, PROVINCE"
- There may be lower jurisdictions within the lower jurisdictions. In these cases, follow the instructions in Step 8 twice, until you get out to the list of all jurisdictions within your province.
9. You will need to then click "Places within Italy, PROVINCE" and repeat the steps in steps 4 and 5 until all the places within have been checked and added to the print list.
10. When you get to the end of the lower jurisdictions, click at the top of the page "Catalog Print List"
11. Copy all of the table on the Catalog Print List Page and paste it in the Italy Task List next to your name (Cell B2)
12. If you ever need to take a break in the middle of adding to the print list, it should save if you are signed in to FamilySearch. However, to prevent loss of work, take note of which locality you finished and paste your unfinished list on the task list.
13. You do not need to clean the sheet up, just make sure the links have pasted in. When you are finished, type "Finished" in Cell C1.
A finished example is in the tab Alessandria
Other Tips
- The Print List won't allow for duplicates. Some collections appear in multiple localities. A duplicate will allow you to remove it, so be sure you are only clicking "Add" when going through localities.
- If you feel you need to make a note of something, do so in Column F
