It has been suggested that this template be made smaller and added to the end of articles, so as to lessen it's visual impact on the overall content of a page (see [[FamilySearch Wiki:Contributors Meeting 12 July 2012#Translation_request_template]]). I think there is merit in this suggestion, but wanted to open a discussion with others before going ahead with the change.

::I think both suggestions are a good idea. You should go ahead with the changes. In the future however, I think all translation requests should be made on the language wiki where the translated page is to go. I think this is fine for now to get greater visibility, since there are a limited number of contributors (especially on the other language wikis), but you can see how this template can quickly become an annoyance considering there are already 10 other language wikis. This template could be used in the future for requests to translate another language page into English only. [[User:Lotje2|Lotje2]] 21:33, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
