Hurricane Isle is an extinct town, now part of the town of Vinalhaven, Maine. Hurricane Isle was organized as a separate town in 1878 on an island southwest of, and originally part of the town of Vinalhaven. That incorporation was repealed in 1921, and Hurricane Isle reverted back to Vinalhaven.[1]
