Parish History

ISLINGTON (St. Michael), a suburban parish, in the parliamentary borough of Finsbury, Finsbury division of the hundred of Ossulstone, county of Middlesex, 1½ mile N from London. There are places of worship for Independents, Wesleyans, Presbyterians, Baptists, one for a congregation professing the principles of the late Edward Irving [Irvingites], and a spacious Roman Catholic chapel.
