Adding Links to HR Articles Part B

Purpose

  • Adding online Learning Wiki page links to the infoboxes in the Historical Records collections Wiki pages.

Task List


Part A -

Step One - Sign Up

  • Go to the task list and sign your name next to a Historical Records Wiki page.



  • Click on the link to open the Wiki page.

Step Two - Click on Edit Source

  • At the top of the Historical Records Wiki page, click on Edit Source.

Step Three - Copy Wikitext

  • Copy the following wikitext:

[[COUNTRY Online Learning]]

Step Four - Find Correct Line

  • Use ctrl + F to locate the correct line to add the link to.

Step Five - Paste Wikitext

  • Paste the link to the infobox.

Step Six - Change the Wikitext

  • Replace COUNTRY with the name of the country that relates to the Wiki page.



For example: [[United States Online Learning]]

Step Seven - Preview the Page

  • Click Show Preview to make sure it looks good and the link works.


  • Enter in the following in the summary:
Added Online Learning link - project


  • Click Save Changes.


Step Eight - Go back to the Task List

  • Go to the Task List and add the date next to your name.


  • Sign up for a new historical records collection page to work on: Task List.
