Nelson Mandela Centre for African Culture in Mauritius

  • Nelson Mandela Centre for African Culture in Mauritius formerly known as the African Cultural Centre, was officially inaugurated on 27 October 1986 following the celebration, in 1985, of the 150th Anniversary of the Abolition of Slavery i.e. the End of the Slave Apprenticeship period on 1 February 1835.
