Egypt is located in the northeastern corner of Africa and is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea to the north, the Red Sea, Israel, and Palestine to the east, Libya to the west, and Sudan to the south. The official language is Arabic, with Egyptian Arabic being the most widely spoken dialect.
