Statewide registration of births and deaths began in 1908 in Oklahoma. Births recorded 125 years ago and earlier and death records created 50 years old and earlier are considered open records and can be obtained for qualifying individuals. See Oklahoma State Department of Health’s website for more information. Copies of marriages can be obtained from the county clerk.
