Description of Collections Services Obituary Finder The Hillsboro Obituary Index is a database of obituaries found in the Hillsboro Independent, The Argus, the Hillsboro Argus, and the Hillsboro Tribune newspapers from 1894 to present. Note: the index is an ongoing project and may not be complete. Online Genealogy Resources Your library card provides free access to online learning websites, job search support, genealogy, business development, and much more. Interlibrary Loan If WCCLS does not own an item you would like to borrow, we can request it from another library for you. Items available through Interlibrary Loan include books, media, microfilm, and articles from magazines, newspapers, and journals. Magazines, manuscripts, rare titles, and pre-1900 materials are generally not available. Microfilm or photocopies may be available. The Library will first try to borrow items from libraries that lend free of charge. If a free source is not available, the cardholder will be notified and given an opportunity to decline the requested materials or pay the lending library fees. It is a group dedicated to promoting the study of genealogy and the preservation of family heritage." Five Oaks Museum (previously called Washington County Museum) "The Five Oaks Museum archives are an extensive collection of historic materials about Washington County, including manuscripts, images, maps, oral histories and rare books. The research desk is a service to help our community access and utilize these resources.
