Layton FSL Research Area

Commons Area - Main Research Room

We reserve times for groups to use the classrooms for instruction or group work. We also reserve areas for large group activities such as Youth Conferences, Family History Days, and other activities. Click on the links below to see what has been reserved and to make your reservation request. Be sure to check the home page to be sure we are open for the times you request. All requests must be approved before they become reservations. We will contact you when your request has been approved.

As you plan for your visit the following may help. We do have an area where refreshments can be served. Please do not take food or drink into computers areas.

Classes that are taught at the center normally run for about an hour and a half.

We ask that you project how many people you will have come to the center so that we can schedule the rooms according to your needs. Please try not to over project by too much as this will not allow others who may come to the center to do so, or under project as you will not have enough seats reserved.

If you need to Cancel your reservation, please do so from the "What Has Already Been Reserved" sheet below.

If you would like a Group Tour select "Group Tours" in the right navigation area.

IMPORTANT:

Your visit must be scheduled more than two weeks in advance. Please note that we do not schedule visits after 7:00 pm. Visits need to finish up by 8:30

Your request is not a reservation and your time is not a reservation until you receive an email that states that is the case, or it shows as confirmed on the See What Has Already Been Reserved Page. Please be sure to watch for the email, or check the See What Has Already Been Reserved page to be sure you have an appointment.

We cannot accommodate groups larger than 55 and then only if all three rooms are available.

We have 3 classrooms that can be reserved. Classroom A holds 16 people, Classroom B holds 25 and Classroom C holds 18.

If your request is rejected please consider trying again on another day.
