Information

Egypt is located in the northeastern corner of Africa and is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea to the north, the Red Sea, Israel, and Palestine to the east, Libya to the west, and Sudan to the south. Since the dynastic leadership of the pharaohs in its early history, Egypt has experienced several colonial influences, notably from the Ottoman Empire, the French, and the British before gaining its independence in 1956.[1]

The official language is Arabic, with Egyptian Arabic being the most widely spoken dialect.
