Quick History[edit | edit source]

Eden Utah.jpg

Eden is on the North Fork of the Ogden Valley . The first home was a log cabin built in 1857 for two summer herdsmen. In 1859 fifteen families moved in from North Ogden. Formerly called North Fork Town. A more appropriate name was coined when the town was plated by the government surveyor, Washington Jenkins. He said he thought "the area was one of the most beautiful sites he had every surveyed" and suggested the biblical name Eden.
