Units 1st through 2nd[edit | edit source]

  • 1st Regiment, Missouri State Militia Infantry (Union)
    Organized at St. Louis, Missouri, May 13, 1862, by consolidation of various companies State Militia Infantry raised at St. Louis, Missouri. Served as prison guard and Provost guard at St. Louis until September 28, 1862.

Units 3rd through 4th[edit | edit source]

  • 3rd Regiment, Missouri Infantry (Union)
    Organized at St. Louis, Missouri, September 3, 1861, to January 18, 1862. At various locations, then with 3rd Brigade, 1st Division, 15th Army Corps, to November, 1864.
  • 4th Regiment, Missouri Infantry (Union)
    Organized at St. Louis, Missouri, by consolidation of Gasconade Battalion and 3rd Regiment United States Reserve Corps January, 1862.
    Mustered out February 1, 1863.

Units 5th through 11th[edit | edit source]

  • 5th Regiment, Missouri Infantry (Union)
    Organized at St. Louis March 18, 1862, by consolidation of 5th United States Reserve Corps, Voerster's Company Sappers and Miners, Giester's Company Pioneers and Winkelman's Company Pontooneers.
    Companies "A" and "I" transferred to 25th Missouri Infantry, and Companies "H" and "K" to 27th Missouri Infantry. Companies "B," "C," "D," "E," "F" and "G" mustered out November 22, 1862.
  • 10th Regiment, Missouri Infantry (Union)
    Organized at St. Louis, Missouri, August, 1861. Served at various locations to December, 1863. With the 2nd Brigade, 3rd Division, 15th Army Corps, to October, 1864.

They were ordered into service between August 3 1861 and August 16 1861. The Regiment was discharged on January 15 1866.

Units 12th through 22nd[edit | edit source]

  • 13th Regiment, Missouri Infantry Union Missouri
    Organized at St. Louis, Missouri, September, 1864, to February, 1865, from Veterans of Missouri State Militia Regiments. Attached to District of Rolla and Dept. of Missouri to July, 1866.
  • 21st Regiment, Missouri Infantry (Union)
    Organized February 1, 1862, from 1st and 2nd Northeast Regiments Missouri Infantry.
    Served with various units to August, 1865. Then with the Department of Alabama to April, 1866.
  • 21st Regiment, Volunteer Missouri Infantry (Union) 21st Regiment, Volunteer Missouri Infantry was enrolled between 12 July 1861 and 13 November 1861. They were ordered into service between 16 September 1861 and 1 February 1862. The Regiment was discharged between 3 February 1863 and 19 April 1866.

  • 24th Regiment, Missouri Infantry (Union)
    Organized in Missouri at large October 24 to December 28, 1861.
    Served with various units to June 1864. Then with the Department of the Tennessee to October, 1864.
  • 25th Regiment, Missouri Infantry (Union)
    Organized as 13th Missouri Infantry June, 1861. Designation changed to 25th Missouri September, 1861.
    Served with various units to June, 1863. With 6th Division, 16th Army Corps, Department of the Tennessee, to February, 1864.
  • 26th Regiment, Missouri Infantry (Union)
    Organized in Missouri at large September to December, 1861.
    Served with various units to April, 1865. With the 3rd Brigade, 2nd Division, 15th Army Corps, to August, 1865.
  • 26th Regiment, Enrolled Missouri Militia (Union)
    Organized between 31 July 1862 and 5 April 1863.
    Discharged between 4 February 1863 and 30 April 1863.
    Re-enrolled between 20 September 1864 and 1 October 1864.
    Discharged again between 18 and 19 November 1864.
  • 27th Regiment, Missouri Infantry (Union)
    Organized at St. Louis, Mo., September 2, 1862, to January 8, 1863.

    Mostly mustered out October 29, 1861.
    Balance transferred to 25th Missouri Infantry December, 1861.
