  • Our Online and In Person class schedules for August 2024 have been posted on their respective pages.
  • We are now offering Reel-to-Reel Audio Tape Conversion Service through our scheduling system. Our staff will do the conversion and call you when they are converted and ready for you to pick them up. Click here to view what you need to know and to reserve a time to drop of your tapes.
  • We are no longer offering the online or in-person class, FamilySearch Family Tree in Spanish.

  • We have added a document that includes all of the U.S. Federal Census Headings from 1790 to 1950 into one document. It can be found in the forms section of our "Quick Start Guides and Family History Forms" section of our "Center Info and Get Help" page. Click here to view it.
  • Our Center is offering a Ward FamilySearch Discovery Day opportunity for Wards and Branches. A single unit can schedule a visit on Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM or 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Click to view details.
  • Our Center is also providing a special visit opportunity for YSA and Mid-Singles Wards and Branches. A singles unit can schedule a visit on a Monday evening from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Click to view details.

Hours of Operation:

Sunday, Focusing on Families - 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Monday - 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Tuesday, Wednesday and
Thursday - 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, Friday - 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturday - 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

  Times referenced are Mountain Time Zone, with Daylight Saving Time from Mar 10 to Nov 3, 2024.


Please Note: At this time, wearing masks in our Center is now optional for staff members and visitors while visiting the Center.

Center is Closed on the following upcoming dates:

  • Saturday to Monday, May 25th to 27th, 2024 for Memorial Day.
  • Sunday, June 16th, 2024 for Father's Day.
  • Wednesday, June 19th, 2024 for Juneteenth Holiday.

Scanning Equipment Audio-Video Converters Family Story Room
We have high-speed photo scanners, each with an attached flatbed scanner; a book scanner; and 35 mm slide scanners. Each item can be reserved for a 1½ hour session. Check our Scanning Equipment page to reserve a time slot and view the equipment specifications and capabilities of each piece of equipment. We have equipment that can convert your VHS and 8 mm video tapes, standard audio cassettes, and 8 mm and Super 8 movie film to a digital file Each item can be reserved for a 2½ hour session. Check our Audio and Video Converters page to reserve a time slot and view the equipment specifications and capabilities of each piece of equipment. Our Family Story Room will record a one-hour video with state-of-the-art audio and video technology. The comfortable furnishings and sound-proofed interior provide a quiet, secluded area, ideal for recording personal histories. The room can accommodate an individual or groups up to ten comfortably. With adjustment, we have had groups as large as 26. Visit our Family Story Room page to reserve a recording session and ideas for your visit preparation.

We have a list of activities for groups visiting our Center. You can schedule a group visit choosing one of seven options. We also offer a monthly Scout Merit Badge Workshop. Our Saturday Seminars, Family Reunions, and Youth Conferences are not currently being held. A Ward FamilySearch Discovery Day can be scheduled. In addition to all that we provide at the Center, our Other Resources page provides: Links to Online Classes at other Locations, Suggested Family History Webinars, What's New at FamilySearch, Stake and Ward Temple and Family History Leadership Information, and Family History Activities and More.
