Historical Background[edit | edit source]
Birth registers began in 1890, marriage registers in 1930, and death registers in 1925.[1]
In 1843 a law was made for birth and death registers and were kept for a few years. Unfortunately this law was mostly ignored, and the law was repealed a few years later. [2]
In 1878, civil Registration began. District and Parish clerks now record births and deaths.[2]
