Mr. Ronald G. Hughes compiled a list Index to Plantation Owners 1630 - 1846.

A full copy of the index subsequently called the Hughes Queere Papers is available at the Shilstone Memorial Library located at the Barbados Museum and Historical Society - Dalkeith Rd, Bridgetown, Barbados.

The Barbados Handbooks published by Sinckler, Edward Goulburn in 1912, 1913, 1914 contained a full listing of Barbados Sugarworks with acreage, owner and manager. They are available on-line along with a listing published in 1924 in the Journal of the BMHS XLV.
