:The Palace of Cortés can be seen in two dimensions: the first from an architectural point of view, which refers to the different stages of its construction in the 16th century. Built on the ruins of the headquarters of the Señorío de Cuauhnáhuac, it was later used as a Catholic temple, palace of the conqueror and his family, prison, palace of the Republic and headquarters of the State Government. The second is its nature as a museum and cultural center since February 1974, since it houses an important collection of paleontological, archaeological, historical and artistic assets that describe and illustrate the future of the state of Morelos. | |||
