- Afar language - spoken by the Afar People. One of the five official languages of Ethiopia.
- Semitic Branch
- Amharic Language - spoken by the Amhara People. One of the five official languages of Ethiopia.
- Tigrinya language - spoken by the Tigrayans. One of the five official languages of Ethiopia.
