Parish History
NORTON (St. Mary), a parish, in the union of Stockton, SW division of Stockton ward, S division of the county of Durham, 2 miles N from Stockton. There are places of worship for Wesleyans and the Society of Friends.[1]
Additional information:
St Mary Norton is an ancient parish and from within it in 1237 grew the parish of Stockton-on-Tees.
