Add collection links to various Wiki pages

Task List

Part A: Task List
Part B: Task List
Part C: Task List
Part D: Task List
Part E: Task List -- DONE
Part F: Task List -- DONE

Note: Be careful in matching the correct tab to the correct database when using these spreadsheets.

Part A - Texas Marriage

Step One - Sign Up

• Go to the task list and sign your name for a county in Texas on the list: task list.

Step Two - Click the Link

• Using the links on the task list, click the county you want to work on.

Step Three - Click Marriage in the Contents

• In the contents, select Marriage. Or scroll down to the Marriage heading.

Step Four - Click Edit Source Next to Marriage

• Click Edit Source next to Marriage.

Step Five - Copy and Paste the Database

• Copy the following code and paste the code in chronological order by date with the other databases listed.

Step Six - Show Preview the Page and Check the Database

• Click Show Preview to make sure it looks good and the link works.

Step Seven - Save the Page

Step One - Sign Up

Step Two - Click the Link

Part C - Alaska Vital Records

Step One - Sign Up

• Go to the task list and sign your name for a county/borough in Alaska on the list: task list.

Step Two - Click the Link

• Using the links on the task list, click the county/borough you want to work on.

Step Three - Find Vital Records Heading on the Page

• In this project you are going to add the same collection in 3 different headings on the Wiki page:
  

• Birth
• Marriage
• Death

• Press the ctrl button and the letter F at the same time, then type in the search field, "Vital Records" to search the page.

Step Four - Click Edit Source Next to Vital Records

• Click Edit Source next to Vital Records.
  

Step Five - Go to Heading, Birth

• Locate the correct heading for Birth under the heading, Vital Records.

Step Six - Copy and Paste Database under Birth Heading

• Copy the following code and paste the code in chronological order by date with the other databases listed under, Birth.

Step Seven - Go to Heading, Marriage

• Now scroll down 1 heading to Marriage while still in wikitext.

Step Nine - Show Preview the Page and Check the Database

• Click Show Preview to make sure all 3 links are working.

Step Ten - Save the Page

• Enter in the "Summary" field the wikitext listed below and click "Save changes":

Part D - Maine Obituaries and Death Notices

Step One - Sign Up

• Go to the task list and sign your name for a county or town in Maine on the list: task list.

Step Two - Click the Link

• Using the links on the task list, click the county or town you want to work on.

Step Three - Click Edit Source at the top of the page

• In this project you are going to add the same collection in two different headings on the Wiki page: Newspapers and Obituaries.

• Click on, Edit Source at the top of the Wiki page.
  

Step Four - Find Newspapers Heading on the Page

• Press the ctrl button and the letter F at the same time then, type in the search field, "Newspapers" to search the page.

• Locate the correct heading for Newspapers.

Step Five - Copy and Paste the Database

• Copy the following code and paste the code in chronological order by date with the other databases listed under, Newspapers.

Step Six - Go to Heading, Obituaries

• Now scroll down to the next heading which should be, Obituaries.

• Copy the following code and paste the code in chronological order by date with the other databases listed under, Obituaries.

Step Seven - Show Preview the Page and Check the Database

• Click Show Preview to make sure both links are working.

Step Eight - Save the Page

• Enter in the "Summary" field the wikitext listed below and click "Save changes":

Step One - Sign Up

• Go to the task list and sign your name for a county in Michigan on the list: task list.

• Using the links on the task list, click the county you want to work on.

Step Three - Click Death in the Contents

• In the contents, select Death. Or scroll down to the Death heading.

Step Four - Click Edit Source Next to Death

• Click Edit Source next to Death.

Step Five - Copy "Also at" Link Database

• Copy the following code:

Step Six - Paste at End of FamilySearch Collection

• Locate the FamilySearch collection in the list of databases that starts with: 1867-1897. Paste the "Also at:" link to the end of that database (after How to Use this Collection).

Step Seven - Show Preview the Page and Check the Database

• Click Show Preview to make sure it looks good and the link works.

Step Eight - Save the Page

• Enter in the "Summary" field the wikitext listed below and click "Save changes":
