Patron de Alamas: Ano de 1897--Population Census of 1897[edit | edit source]

The first census in Guam was taken in 1710 when it was still a possession of Spain. The government of Spain took 20 additional censuses from 1710 through 1897. This was the last and most complete census of the Mariana Islands of the Spanish Administration The census indicates married individuals, their children and other people living in the house (relationships not specified). It generally follows the Spanish format for names, but not consistently.

An index is available online at Index to Patron de Almas: Año de 1897, Internet Archive, Wayback Machine.
