The 3rd Regiment, Connecticut Infantry was organized at New Haven for three months service. They mustered in May 14, 1861. The 3rd Regiment, Connecticut Infantry was organized at New Haven.  They mustered in May 14, 1861.  On the 12th day of August, 1864 this regiment was mustered out of service at Hartford.
