Roosje Roos, free online search in part of the Civil Registry of the Dutch East Indies, created by the genealogical research bureau of Maarten and Willy Etmans

1817-1923 : Uittreksels van geboorten, huwelijken, overlijden, 1817-1923 : verzameling van gegevens van de Burgerlijke Stand, gepubliceerd in de Regerings Almanak van Nederlands-Indië, on 184 films. Births, marriages, and deaths of the civil registration of East Indies (Indonesia) as recorded in the Official Government Almanac. Text in Dutch. FamilySearch.org, free, though only available at family history centers and FamilySearch affiliate libraries.
1828- ? : Indische Genealogische Vereniging (Indies Genealogical Society) has an index of the civil registry for Europeans and those treated as such on the website, though it can only be viewed by IGV members.

The earliest records date from 1828 during the Dutch colonial period. Some civil marriages and deaths were recorded as early as 1750. A number of records were destroyed during the Second World War.
