The Utah State Archives is a repository of historical records that is open to the public to research. The Research Center which provides access to historical records is located at:

The Utah State Archives provides many useful documents ranging back to 1850 for research. These records include death certificates, land records, legislative bills, mining claims, and incorporation records. A catalog, name index, series inventory list, and other research guides by subject are provided to assist you with your research at: http://archives.utah.gov/research/. Some of these records have been digitized for ease of research and can are located at: http://archives.utah.gov/digital/
Please note that many of the digitized records have associated images that are free to view which also provide additional information that can be utilized in genealogical research.
