National Library Republic of Mauritius National Library Collections: Over the years the National Library has made remarkable progress in its collection development and houses one of the richest and most comprehensive collection of Mauritiana materials. The National Library Collections comprise of more than 490,000 items (as at August 2013) and include: Monographs, Serials and annual reports, Newspapers - The collection of newspapers dating back to 1777, consists of bound volumes, parcels and microfilms. Stamps, Manuscripts and private archives,Posters and photographs,Maps, Audiovisual materials ( video and audiotapes, CDs, VCDs, DVDs and CD ROMs)
