Potter's Bar, a hamlet, in the parish of South Mimms, union of Barnet, hundred of Edmonton, County of Middlesex, 3 miles north by northeast of Barnet. A district church, dedicated to St. John, was built here in 1835. The Baptists by 1848 had built a chapel in this hamlet as well.[1]
