Example Page

Project Instructions



  1. Click the Town link to open up the new Town page

  2. In the Table of Contents on the top left of the Town page scroll down and under Section 3, named Resources, then click on the section headers that correspond with each Part on this instruction page. Starting with: Part One: Biographies, Part Two: Census, Part Three: Court Records, Part Four: Newspapers, Part Five: Obituaries, and Part Six: Tax Records

  3. Copy & Paste each Part Section until all Six Parts are finished in the Task List

  4. By the Records link click on the Edit source link and open the Editing (section)

  5. Copy & Paste the Wiki Text on this Wiki Project instruction page in the sections below to the Records Editing (section) on the Town page

  6. Make sure to to put these record links underneath the sentence or paragraph introduction if there is one

  7. Do not remove other links or information except for duplicates...replace old links with new links

  8. Put all old and new Record links together into a chronological order list, if there are no dates then put those Record links below the date list and arrange them in alphabetical order

  9. All FamilySearch Research Wiki pages should be at the very bottom of the whole list

  10. Click on Preview

  11. Copy & Paste the Summary WikiText in the sections below into the Summary box on the Town page:

  • Click on Save changes

  • Make sure all of the Town Record links work by clicking on them and opening them up to the right Records page, then

  • Continue adding each Part from the Task List in the same Town until all Six Parts are finished before going on to the next Town

  • Put the date you finished by your name on the Task List, then start over again at the Top of Page with the Project Instructions, and click open the next Town link to work in
