- In the contents of the parish page, select Church Records under "Collections." Or scroll down to the Church Records header.
Step Three - Click Edit Source next to Church Records
- Click Edit Source next to Church Records.
Step Four - Review Church Records Text
- Review the data directly below the Church Records header to make some adjustments to the information displayed.
- You may see something like:
Original church records are held in the local municipal archive or civil registration office. Microfilm copies are available at the Graubünden State Archives. Digital images of church records are available on FamilySearch. These records have a restriction for use only at a FamilySearch center near you.
- Leave in the sentences regarding the Graubünden State Archives. In the example above, the sentences to keep are in blue.
- Remove the sentences regarding FamilySearch. In the example above, the sentences to remove are in red.
NOTE: for the following headers, Catholic should come before Reformed. Move the headers and content if necessary to keep them in alphabetical order.
Step Five - Review the header, Catholic
- Review the Catholic header to see what should be removed from the section. We are only removing standard sentences. We are NOT removing unique information about church records in the parish.
Example:
The parish of Almens is ancient, and includes the municipalities of Pratval, Rodels, and Rothenbrunnen. Church records begin in 1629. The following volumes are available on FamilySearch: *Baptisms, marriage, and burials 1629-1765
The following volumes are only available on microfilm at the Graubünden State Archives: *Baptisms, confirmations, marriages, burials 1765-1837 *Baptisms, confirmations, marriages, burials 1838-1875
- Leave in the sentences that includes information that is unique to the parish, such as the dates for when the church records begin. In the example above, the sentences to keep are in blue.
- Remove the sentences regarding volumes available at FamilySearch and microfilm at the Graubünden State Archives. In the example above, the sentences to remove are in red.
- Leave in the FamilySearch database links and microfilm at the Archives for now. This information is in black.
- If there are no database links for either FamilySearch or the Archives listed on the page, go to Step Eight.
Step Six - Reformat the FamilySearch Link
- If there is a FamilySearch link in the section, reformat it to the examples below depending on the type of url provided:
