Part One

Adding Hartford, Connecticut District Probate Records

Step One

  • Introductory Sentence with Two References
  • Delete any old sentences that were there before

In the 1600s, probate records were kept by the Connecticut and New Haven Colonies. In 1666, the two colonies joined and formed four new probate districts and counties: Hartford, New London, New Haven, and Fairfield. Step Two

  • If there are older or other links that were in the Probate Editing (section), put them in the list together with the new links
  • Records starting with dates put in chronological order at the top
  • Records starting with no dates, put below the list of dates in alphabetical order
  • Put in the Connecticut Task notes if there are updates, or changes that need to be made to older links to the new Manual of Style formatting
  • The updates, or changes to the new Manual of Style formatting will be done later by Angela

Step Three

Copy & Paste into Summary box

  • Click on Show Preview
  • Click on Save changes
  • Check all links to make sure they are good

Step Four

  • When done put the date by your name

Then:

  • Start over at Project Instructions at the top
  • Choose a new Town from the *Connecticut Task List Part 49
  • Put your name by that Town
  • Click Town link to open up new Town
