Volpeglino was an ancient court owned by the abbey of San Colombano di Bobbio. It appears in the list of the monastery's courts in the time of Carlo Magno with the toponym of Vulpidino.
Jurisdictions:
- It was a feud of the Guidobono in the 12th century and entered the Tortona area.
- A free municipality in 1245, it passed under the Visconti, who granted it as a fief to the Guidobono Cavalchini.
- Volpeglino was aggregated to the municipality of Volpedo in 1928 and was detached again in 1947. [1]
