Template:Update section/doc

Usage

This template can be used to mark particular sections of articles that have old or out-of-date information. It will add articles to Category:Articles in need of updating.

To mark a section, use:

{{Update section{{{2}}}{{{3}}}{{{4}}}{{{5}}}{{{6}}}{{{7}}}{{{8}}}{{{9}}}{{{10}}}{{{11}}}...}}

To add the date when the tag was added, use:

{{Update section{{{3}}}{{{4}}}{{{5}}}{{{6}}}{{{7}}}{{{8}}}{{{9}}}{{{10}}}{{{11}}}...}}

If the first parameter is specified, it is included as the specific part of the section that needs update. For example:

{{update section|the new season}}

If the second parameter is specified, it is included as the date of the last update. For example:

{{update section|a rerouting that happened in late 2010|January 2011}}

Alternatives

• If the entire article is out of date, use {{Outdated}}.
